Ebay Sales 3.0.0 Release Notes

Ebay sales 3.0.0 is a major update which contains fixes, enhancements and new features. It is recommended that you upgrade to 3.0.0 as soon as possible.

New Features in 3.0.0

1. In June 2016 business profiles will become mandatory for some sellers. In this release of Ebay Sales business profiles are now fully supported. After updating the cached values any existing profiles will be imported for selection in the inventory configuration screens. If you are n ot opted into business profiles or they are not applicable to your Ebay account type the new options will remain hidden. Profiles must be created and maintained via the Ebay website, the module currently only references your existing profiles and does not support creating or modifying profiles.

2. For some Ebay sites it is now possible to make use of restocking fee's. These must be defined within your business profiles and the profile selected for the item when listing.
    
3. When listing items it is now possible to add a condition description. The description can only be used for non new items.
    
4. Additional triggers have been added to force an update of stock levels and prices for active listings. After updating/saving an item within the inventory settings edit screen if there is a related active ebay item it will be auto updated in real time. For example, if you change a price in the configuration and save, the new price will be applied to your active listing in real time.
    
5. It is now possible to enable items to accept a best offer. You can also configure the minimum price to auto accept offers and the price at which offers will be rejected.
    
6. Some items can now be revised via the module. Specifically the descriptiojn, title, price, accept offers, best offer auto accept price, minimum best offer price and dispatch time. If you update any of these fields and save the item configuration your active listing will be updated in real time.

Enhancements  in 3.0.0

1. The module has been certified for use with PHP version 5.6
    
2. Warnings about duplicate product codes had a poor colour and style making them hard to read. The style has been updated to be easier to read.
    
3. All API calls are using the most recent version of the Ebay API's. As of this release Ebay trading API version 965, profiles API version 1.
    
4. The way in which the module filters active and inactive items has been re-written to make it more reliable. Due to the re-write the module now only supports up to a maximum of 25,000 ebay listings.
    
5. As part of the process to push items to Ebay, the "Filter Active Items" process is called. This auto updates your active items list. As a matter of process it is still recommended to push this button before attempting to list any items on Ebay or make any changes to ensure the module is aware of your acitve items.
    
6. The clone feature has been improved to include the new best offer data and if applicable, business profiles.

Issues resolved in 3.0.0

1. When reviwing the list of inventory within the "Inventory Settings" tab GTC durations would show as 30 days. It now shows GTC correctly.
    
2. For variation listings, under some scenarios it may be possible to trigger a duplicate product code error even when there was no conflict. This was being caused by some options having an empty value being passed to Ebay. The module now checks for empty values and drops them before sending to Ebay which resolves this problem.
    
3. International & Domestic rate table selections did not get respected when sending items to the live Ebay site. this has been corrected and now works correctly
    
4. After selecting a category and saving an error would be added to the CubeCart error log caused by the imported category information from Ebay. This has been corrected.

Upgrade Instructions

1. Delete the ebay_sales directory from your stores modules/plugins/ directory and replace it with the 3.0.0 files found in the downloadable zip file.
    
2. Navigate to the module via the admin area and go to the "General" tab. Click the "Update Cached Ebay Data (Shipping Methods, Store Categories, Return Durations, Profiles)". This will refresh and populate the new data required by the module.
    
3. review your inventory configuration and configure any new features you wish to use.
