By Category Security 1.0.5 Release Notes

By Category Security 1.0.5 contains enhancements and new features. It is recommended that you upgrade to 1.0.5 as soon as possible.

New Features in 1.0.5

1. "By Category" security has now become a general security module for both categories and documents. It is now possible to lock down documents or hide documents in the same way categories can be hidden. Customers can be redirected to a URL of your choosing if they are denied access to a document or category.
    
2. the Security tab now appears when editing a document within the admin area
    
3. A new setting has been added to the plugin configuration. "Hide Documents if access is denied". When this setting is enabled any Document that the customer is not allowed to view will be hidden.

Enhancements in 1.0.5

1. Minor adjustments have been made to some of the setting names, making it easier to follow
    
2. Added the table header "Redirect URL" to the Security tab
    
3. Centered the exclude checkboxes within the Security tab
    
4. Updated all database query methods to make better use of cache, the result of this is better support for cache and better performance on larger stores.
    
5. Updated the name of the module to be "Category and Document Security"

Upgrade Instructions

1. Delete the By_Category_Security directory from your stores modules/plugins/ directory and replace it with the 1.0.5 files found in the downloadable zip file.
